TWS Gives Back- 2014

It's that time of year for an amazing auction sponsored by The Tulsa Wedding Society. This is the 3rd annual event and let me tell you if you are shopping for wedding needs, you have GOT to go to this party!
This is a super fun party for brides and grooms and their parents to attend, with a live auction, games, dancing, delicious food, and drinks! The best part about the auction for attendees is the amazing items donated by the elite wedding professionals of TWS. All you have to do is buy a ticket, eat, drink, be merry, and bid on items you want in the silent auction. Want more of a reason to go? All of the items you purchase are a COMPLETE TAX DEDUCTION!!! Why you ask? All of the proceeds for this event benefit The Little Light House. We as TWS members testify to the amazing assistance that LLH provides to children with special needs and we are honored to provide our services to YOU in order to raise money for them.

The complete list for the TWS GIVES BACK auction items is not available yet, but I can tell you that this will be the 3rd time that I am offering $200 off your wedding flowers! So if you want your flowers designed by me AND want to help out a good cause, then come party with us and bid, bid, bid! During the auction, in our last two events, it was an all out war for not only my item but many other popular items!
I hope you can make it and I look forward to seeing all of you there! For more information or to purchase tickets, contact The Tulsa Wedding Society or purchase tickets here. Thanks everyone!

Summer Wedding Colors

It's summer time for weddings and there are so many choices to consider when choosing colors. The most popular color for 2013 is coral. Let us not forget the beautiful magic of flowers; you don't have to stop with one shade. That's right! Go ahead and be bold by incorporating yellow, green, pink, or even blue. Be sure to consult with your wedding florist about seasonal flowers and successful coordinating looks to make your wedding flowers UNFORGETTABLE.
Here are a few bouquets that pop with color by using variety and texture.

Hailee Polk & Claude Taylor Wedding

Divine Designs by Mandy
Divine Designs by Mandy- Polk/Taylor Wedding 6/22/13
Hailee and Claude were absolutely AMAZING clients and more importantly, a wonderful couple! Each and every vendor, who mentioned working with them, commented on the kindness of this duo. It was an honor and a privilege to be a part of this special day.

Bride: Hailee Polk
Groom: Claude Taylor
Event Date: June 22, 2013
Venue: The Mayo Hotel
Photographer: Madison Vining
Rentals: Party Pro Rents
Cake: Ann's Bakery
Flowers: Divine Designs by Mandy

It was a remarkably gorgeous summer day for a wedding in Tulsa and everything just seemed to go together with ease as the day's events played out for this couple. They certainly appreciated this! There were two wonderful and unexpected moments for me on this day. The first moment occurred while I was waiting for the cake to arrive- Hailee and Claude came down to the ballroom to to shoot their first look with the photographers and I was there to witness this sweet moment. I recall the groom saying three letters...O M G
Of course, there are few words to describe the beauty of this gorgeous bride, who happens to be as sweet as she is pretty, but this was all that this awestruck groom could manage to utter. It was priceless!
The second, unexpected, moment was when I returned to The Mayo to retrieve the rented vases from the reception only to find the bride and groom surrounded by family and friends with smiles of joy from ear to ear. They stopped and made their way over to me to hug me and thank me for making their day beautiful and perfect! It was a wonderful, sweet gesture and the kind of thank you that I never expected.

To Hailee and Claude (aka Peanut)~ Best wishes in love, marriage, and health to a pair of precious soulmates.

Very Pin-teresting...

Hello Readers!

Happy Friday! Can you believe it is the middle of May?
I have taken a long hiatus from blogging and it is time to get back in the swing of things for sure.  I am currently working on a new website design to better serve our new age "mobile" needs. Stay tuned for the launch! Coming Soon!

My new format will host not only Facebook, but Instagram, and of course PINTEREST!
For those of you who don't "pin", beware it can be highly addictive and consume hours of your time. One of the reasons I joined Pinterest (aside from the cool nail art tips, savory recipes, nifty home decor ideas, and inspiring outfit ensembles) was to share boards with clients about flowers and wedding design ideas. In addition, I share a Wedding Ideas board with some super awesome vendors who have some pretty cool pins to share. Be sure to check that out too. Get Pinning

So, Readers who already pin, why do you pin? What jumps out at you?

Looking forward to hearing from you!

Don't nix the flowers!

Articles in bridal magazines are discussing the importance of hiring a good photographer and videographer for your wedding. While this is essential to capture the memories of the special day, it is also extremely necessary to hire a good floral designer to complete the beauty of the day. Many brides recently have been encouraged to cut costs on flowers, yet so many don't realize that fresh flowers for a wedding are a staple. Even worse, some brides are going with a cheaper option only to get poor quality flowers that fall apart before the ceremony. This problem is due to either outdated design techniques, cheaper secondary flower stock, or inexperienced designers. Weddings are the single most important occasions to purchase flowers. There are many options to keep costs down without spending a fortune. Thank God for wedding shows like, My Fair Wedding with David Tutura, who stress the importance of beautifully designed arrangements and floral. Though, not everyone has an unlimited budget, elegance should always be present in the execution. Don't nix the flowers!
Contact Divine Designs today and enjoy a day of beauty while keeping your pocketbook thick.
